Pat McCaffrey

Largely self taught, Pat was a production potter for Wild Rabbit Pottery in Athens GA for 10 years before setting up her own studio, Swampware Pottery, where she made whimsical and folky red ware.  She did art shows all over the USA, including Denver’s Cherry Creek.  And was included in Perspectives: 50 best potters in Georgia show for many years.  In 2015 she retired from the art show circuit and moved to Tabernash. Colorado. She now works with galleries and is resident potter at the Fraser Valley Recreation Center.  She screen prints her original drawings onto white stoneware for a new and refreshingly whimsical look. The screens are burned in a darkroom on special screen print film.  In 2015 she was invited to teach a two day workshop at The City Pottery in Orlando on this technique. “I like to have fun even when working, and try not to take life too serious, so my work reflects that,”
